Are you the kind of person who can't make out the lyrics to songs you hear on the radio? So, instead, you make up your own wild approximations in a desperate attempt to fill in the gaps. I do, all the time. I will never figure out the words to "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash (how strange that they're mostly known today for that song, when back in the day they put out all of these political-charged records). Even when I have the true lyrics in front of me, and I'm reading them as they're being sung, I struggle with the lyrics to "Louie, Louie". One guy even wrote a book about that song, the subject of an FBI investigation. Turns out those those guys couldn't discern the words, either!
In honour of these non-enunciating vocalists (I'm talking to you, Elton John! And John Lennon! And most hip-hop artists!), here is a sample of what I am discussing. Someone trying to figure out the words to a classic CCR tune.
