Found out today that Odyssey 2000 is closing at the end of November after nearly 32 years
My friend Sheldon Goldman decided he did not want to enter into a 10 year lease after this one expires in a month. Rather than that he has decided to retire
Not much more to say. Nothing lasts forever. He has seen many competitors come and go over the years and has outlasted them all
All the best in your retirement!

Hey Bevboy,
I'm trying to get a hold of Sheldon Goldman's home phone number. I have no way of contacting him since he closed the business a couple weeks ago. My name is Zak Markan and I'm a producer with CBC Radio in Halifax. I just wanted to talk to him about the regulatory hurdles and struggles of keeping a small business open in this town. If you could email Sheldon's phone # to zak.markan@cbc.ca that would be great.
Cheers,
Zak Markan

Hi. Just got your comment on my blog. If his number is not listed, there is not much I can do to help you. I know he lives out in the Purcell's Cove area, but beyond that, I am not sure what to tell you. His wife, Buffy, is a hairdresser who does a lot of work on local television and film productions. If you contact filmworks, or a company that provides service people to productions, they may be able to get you in touch with her and, by extension, Sheldon.
I had one book left in my account last month, and despite my best efforts to touch base with Sheldon and get that book, I was unable to do so before he shut down. The storefront is locked up tight. I can't believe he sold everything before he left, unless it was the inventory to another retailer. He had a lot of stuff left in the store the last time I was in there.
I hope this was helpful.
Keep reading my blog if you want. I want as many readers as possible.
Oh, Sheldon told me he was shutting down the business because he was unable to secure anything less than a 10 year lease on a new store. He is 55 years old and didn't want that lengthy a lease.
