611th Post - Happy New Year!

Happy 2009, everyone!

I am so happy to have my car back. Something like $8100 of repairs later, it's in my driveway, where it belongs.

I had to get up early on Wednesday morning in order to be at the insurance company to speak to a human being about whether I'd have to pay the $125 drop off fee on the car rental. I was assured I would not, so I ended up driving that piece of crap down there yesterday morning to have lunch with my parents. My father and I drove to the car dealership where I bought my car last month to conduct a little bit of business with the sales manager before doing a bit of shopping and returning the piece of crap rental car. My sister picked us up and drove us to the body shop where my car was, arriving around 3:20.

My car looks great. It has been freshly re-aligned after a replacement of one of the tires this week. What an absolute pleasure to drive my 2008 Grand Prix! I loved driving back to the city yesterday in that beautiful car.

On the way home, I broke down and bought a new digital camera. It is the Fujifilm S100 FD. Here: Read a review.

It is not the world's greatest digital camera. People with SLR's and 2000 dollars lenses will likely down their noses at me. But that's fine. It takes good pictures and shoots fine video. That's all I need it to do. I am very much looking forward to using this camera for this blog. The images will look so much better from now on! This is yet another service I provide for you, my blog readers!

The much-promised snow storm hit the province over night, and continued until a couple of hours ago. A ton of snow landed, and there is a strong likelihood of more snow over night. My neighbour was kind enough to use his snow blower to plow me out tonight, which was very good of him.

Back to work tomorrow. And, it's time to start work on the next 3 interviews for this blog! Keep your eye out for them.

Bevboy.
