I plugged in the new computer 90 minutes ago. It has been going through all kinds of startup stuff ever since. Right now I am creating the recovery discs. It is on the second of three discs. I am hoping this process will be done within the next 90 minutes or so.
I only have to do this once.

Wish you were next door to solve the computer problems which hit me in the face now and then.
Remember that some-sorta keyboard which you sold me back in the middle 80's? All I remember was that it was my first experience with this new-fangled machine . Do you happen to remember what it was?
Gosh, was it a Osborne 1 computer? A tiny, five inch screen with 2 floppy disk drives? I had forgotten that I had sold that to you back in the day.
Welcome to my new computer! It is getting closer and closer to being set up!

As I remember it, it was attached to the TV.
Hmm. I had a Radio Shack Colour Computer 2 for a few years, but I think I gave that away to a teenager. Maybe I unloaded it on you. I don't remember now.
I still have a couple of computers from the 1980's, by the way. They probably don't even boot up now. Haven't turned them on in many years.
What happened to that computer I sold you, George? Did it survive your move to Montreal?
Bev
Have no idea where it went.
I don't think it was a really a computer as we know it. I guess one would call it a precursor to the computer age.
