The computer is nearly the way I want it to be now. I have set up the vpn and remote desktop connections I need for my work, downloaded and set up the putty client, and have spent some time looking at videos online.
It is a pleasure to be able to look at these videos! The lcd monitor makes everything look crisp and sharp, and the cpu is strong enough to show them to me without the video becoming choppy. God, what I've been missing!
I spend quite a bit of time at the New York Times website any way. Tonight, I checked out their video library. I could spend a long time there. After you check it out, you probably will, too. They actually produce brief online documentaries!
Tomorrow, I'll make sure that the scanner is working. It is nearly midnight and I need some sleep.
