I was thinking about Abe Vigoda today. He played "Fish" on Barney Miller and the spin-off show of the same name. People think he's been dead for years now.
You can imagine the effect that would have on one's career. "Hey, we need an older man that looks like Abe Vigoda to do this part. Too bad he's dead!"
