Some of you will remember, from reading the blog around post 100, that I once took a course in improvisational acting. It was great fun, and I learned a lot. I gained an appreciation for the background actors in a movie or tv show as they have to be in character but not have a lot to do. You know: the main characters are in a coffee shop, but your job is to pretend to have a conversation with someone, without calling attention to yourself in any way.
One of my fave tv shows of the late '90's and into around 2004 was both the British and American versions of "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?" It was a show featuring talented improvisational actors. It was often screamingly funny.
