Stan Carew just played this song this morning. I have liked it for 20 years now. It encapsulates everything I want to like about any given new year: Being kind to others, hoping for the best, expecting the worst.

Here is an ABBA song you may not know about. It is from their "Super Trouper" album from 1979. It is amazing how well these old songs hold up.
Finally, here's Spike Jones and his City Slickers and their irreverent look at a new year. These guys were very popular during the '40's and '50's and are best known for "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth". But they had lots of hits back in the day. Plenty of their work is on youtube, so look it up, why don't you?
