I had to go to the valley today for reasons I am not currently prepared to discuss here. But, after that thing was over, I took a moment to drive to Canning to take some pictures of a place mentioned in the interview on Sunday.
I decided to go visit my mother for a few minutes before returning to the city. I was at the intersection before my parents’ home, waiting for an oncoming truck to pass me before I could turn left on to their street. That truck went by. Then, before I could make that turn, another vehicle that wanted to turn left, swerved out in front of me, ignoring the stop sign and not waiting her turn.
I laid on the horn and exercised my middle finger. She/it just kept on going, not slowing down, too stupid to realize, I guess, that it wasn’t her turn to go yet.
I got to Mom’s and called Patricia. She called this woman a word that rhymes with “stunt”, a word so vile that for a man even to think it would result in every female around him to reach for a blunt instrument and make good use of it.
About 20 minutes later, I returned to my home, still thinking about the stupidity of that woman. If she had just waited 3 more seconds, rather than cut me off, she would have been fine. Instead, she came thisclose to causing a major accident.
I am not sure if I have a point here. I just needed to vent. It was a difficult day for me as it was. Tomorrow will be about 10 tens more trying than today. The last thing I needed is to have an accident, caused by someone else’s moronic tendencies.
Pay attention to your driving, people!
