They are running horror movies all afternoon, mostly ones shot around here. The original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" with Mr. Hansen will run at 4:30, preceded with a q&a with him.
Strange Adventures is selling reprints of classic horror comics as well as trade paperbacks of newer stuff like "30 Days of Night" and "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Nice to see Cal again.
They're also selling recent issues of "Rue Morgue", the Canadian horror magazine which I've seen around for years and years but have never purchased. They shouldn't feel badly if they're reading this. Have never bought an ish of "Fangoria" either.
Another vendor is showing off his Hallowe'en-related costumes and gadgets. Someone else is showing off the FX stuff he sells, like severed fingers, available for purchase for 20 bucks or so. Do you get a bulk discount if you buy all 10?
And there is at least one t-shirt vendor.
All in all, it's not bad here. I still like to watch horror movies and tv shows. Had no idea so many others did. I'm grateful that they decided to organize this event. Time will tell if they will do this every year. Depends on their interest and whom they can entice to come here.
I think Summer Fear in Tatamagouche can have a bright future! I hope they do.
