Post 1716 - Mission Accomplished!

Last night, on this blog, I issued a call for action.  I wanted to hit 500 FB friends by the end of the month.  I was at about 473 or so at the time.

I hit 500 by 10 this morning!

I am now at 521, with more friend requests to be processed coming up.

Now, I want to hit 1000 FB friends by September 30, 2011.

Let's make it happen.

Have had a quiet evening.  I still haven't finished transcribing the Dan Barton interview.  I will move Heaven and Earth to finish it by this coming Monday.  I will be at my mother's all weekend.  When she is not working me like a show pony around the house and taking her shopping and giving her a pedicure and braiding her hair and whatever else she has in store for me, I will be locked in my bedroom typing away on one of the computers I keep down there for that purpose.   Newbie will stare at me impetuously, as all cats do.  My mother will demand I do even more stuff for her.  But when I'm not sleeping, and do those things for her, I will be typing away like a mad whore to finish the interview and get it off to him to read over.

To make this even more fun, I am taking a vacation day on Monday.  It will mean 4 days down there, so surely to frig, I can finish transcribing a mere interview.  I don't need that much sleep.  I don't eat that much.

Still not used to getting up at 5:30 in the morning, after 2 weeks of sleeping in until 9 or 10 and taking a nap in the afternoon and going to be early at night.  Why can't they shift work hours until a more civilized time?  You know:  Start work after the 10 am coffee break at the Young Street tower coffee shop.  Work until noon.  Have lunch.  Return from a late lunch and work until 3, and go out for more coffee.  Leave at 4:30.  Repeat as necessary.  Sounds good to me.

If only I could convince my boss.  I'll get to work on that.

See you tomorrow, brethren.
