Post 1773 - Progress!

I spent some of my lunch hour talking to co-workers in the kitchen as I ate my lunch.  That meant I had no time to transcribe any of the Kate Milton interview.  I did have some time, though, to prepare for the 2 interviews I'll be conducting on Thursday.

The first one is at noon with Katey Day of Lite 92.9.  She has worked for a bunch of radio stations over the years and was part of the initial staff at MITV in 1988 if my research is correct.  I will have that confirmed or shot down tomorrow.  I will ask her about the strange Texan gentleman they hired to be their first meteorologist back then.  Knew nothing about the Canadian provinces he was forecasting the weather for, but every nook and cranny of the U.S. was known to him.   A very strange hire.  I think I heard him say once on air that he was working in Dallas the day JFK was killed.  How he ended up on our shores, 25 years later, is a mystery I hope to solve one day.  I think about these things.

We will talk about lots more as well.

Then, after work, I sit down with Jaclyn Irwin at The Bounce.  She goes by Jax on the air, and I'm told she's quite the character.  I am looking forward to meeting her.

This evening I had a much-needed shower.  I just transcribed an audiophile in the Kate Milton interview, so there's a bit of progress to report.  And I have to get to bed early because I have to get up early and take my car to the shop for a quick repair.  I will have my chariot back by mid-morning, I hope.

Time for bed.  Busy day tomorrow!
