Post 1774 - A Busy Day And A Desperate Cry For Help

I got up at 5:30 today and left the house shortly after 6 in order to get my car to the dealership and avoid the long line up of cars that show up.  Despite my best efforts, there were still a couple of vehicles ahead of me.

I told them to replace the burnt out headlight or bulb and check the tires.  I accepted the shuttle ride to work as it was mighty cold this morning.

They called around 8:30 and told me that I owed them $35.  The bulb, the size of a grizzled old fart, cost $18.  Ten bucks to install the thing.  Plus tax.  I got the shuttle driver to pick me  up and take me to the dealership.  I picked up the car and returned to work.

Lunch time was the Katey Day interview.  She is a fascinating woman.  However, after more than an hour of speaking, we only got half way through the second question.  We will have to reconvene at a later date and speak more.  A lot more.  The time she met Keith Richards and Mick Jagger is a story I look forward to sharing with you.  I'm sure she has a million other stories.

After work, we met the lovely and talented Jax from the Bounce.  We loved meeting her.  She was even kind enough to agree to shoot a video greeting for my niece, who listens to that station all the time.

Yes.  Both meals.  Both interviews.  Conducted at Michael's Bar and Grill on Young Street.  As much as I love the place, I think I will not go there for a while.  Too much of a good thing.

It's been a crazy busy day, with one more in this fine sequence before a 3 day weekend.  Our decision to remain in the city this weekend should prove to be a good one.  I'm looking forward to it.  I need to finish getting over this damned cold.  People at work are avoiding me and giving me a wide berth.  It hurts a little.

On that depressing note, I'll call it a night.

It's a night.

Hey, I need better jokes.  Send suggestions here.
