Post 1784 - A Quiet Day

I was up until 2 this morning watching SNL.  I figured that I would sleep until noon or later, but I was up by 9.  I have been on the go ever since.  I did some laundry and hung it out on my clothes line. I installed Ubuntu 11.10 after lunch, which took a couple of hours.  I hate the new unity interface.  There is a sudo apt-get command I could run at the terminal to get, more or less, the classic gnome interface.  It is elegant and clean and I like it a lot.  The unity interface is just gross, and good luck finding all of your apps.

Patricia went to a Health Expo this morning and returned shortly before Ubuntu was finished installing.  I had to finish baby sitting that.  I came upstairs and we talked for a while before watching some shows that were on last week that we had to catch up on.

Returning to work in in the morning.  Yay.  I will get back to transcribing the Kate Milton interview tomorrow as well; there was no time this weekend, alas.

Season 2 of "The Walking Dead" begins this evening on AMC.  Loved the first season.  I'll try to watch the first episode after work tomorrow.

And if this doesn't lead you to think of the original motto of this blog, "The most boring blog in Canada", then I'm not sure what is.

See you tomorrow.
