Bevboy's Blog is going on hiatus, effective today, and lasting for a week or so.
I'm sorry to do this. I wish I didn't have to, but I don't think you want to read a week of blog posts like the one last night, in which I yearned to be Dale on The Walking Dead, begging Darryl to kill me. Yet, those are the kinds of posts I feel like writing.
Without getting into all the details, I returned to work this morning when I should not have. People kept telling me to go home; apparently, our office has been hit pretty hard this week with people having similar illnesses.
I managed to finagle a doctor's appointment for 1:30 this afternoon. The good news is that I do not have pneumonia. The bad news is that I have a couple of other things that will keep me off work until at least March 19th.
I am on a form of cough suppressant that will become addictive if I am not careful. It causes extreme drowsiness, so I shouldn't be driving much whilst I'm taking this medication. I have to keep hydrated. And I am going to feel miserable, even more than I do now, before I begin to feel better.
I need to concentrate on getting better, and this blog has to go by the wayside for the nonce. (Yes! For the nonce! Shakespeare used that phrase. Look it up. )
I will think of my readers often, at least when I am awake and able to think at all. Do think of me as a boy who is getting better but who needs time away from work and extracurricular things like his blog. I promise I will be back, better than ever, in a week or so.
See you soon.
I love you all.
