Post 2139 - Valley Time

I didn't get to my mother's until around 11:30 this morning. I surprised her. Thanks for not telling her I was coming. Appreciate it.

I'd claimed a pretty decent bookcase my neighbor was throwing out and brought it with me today. It's now in the garage and holds as many of the nails and screws and bolts and washers as I've been able to find so far. I know there's more of that stuff in there. Just need the time to find it.

Mom was elated to see me a day early. She frantically produced a grocery list and we set off to New Minas. We shopped for hours finally returning around 4. I collapsed in a heap on my bed and slept for 2 hours.

This evening I was watching some tv shows on the desktop computer I keep here. It rests on a computer desk I got for 20 bucks a few months ago. There's a 20 dollar laser printer I got off kijiji. The guy threw in an unopened box of toner and a usb cord. Printer works fine. If I get a year out of it, it'll have paid for itself.

Tomorrow my intention is to get up early and clean out the garage for the Fall Clean Up. I will return to the city in the afternoon. Patricia will return from the cottage in the pm as well. We will see if I am able to keep that schedule.
