Post 2140 - A Quick Trip

I am back in the city, having returned to the house around 2:30.

This morning, I filled 5 large clear plastic bags full of stuff from the garage that didn't need to be there any more.  I also carried out the old  fluorescent light fixture that had hung in the garage for the better part of 40 years.  We got rid of it this year in favour of a brand-new fixture.  The one I tossed out only had 1 of 4 lights working, and that wasn't even consistent.  The electrician who did the work this summer said that when  my father installed those fixtures (one remains in there) they were old then.  So, that fixture at the end of my mother's driveway could be upwards of 60 years old.  Who knows where he even got it from?

After I tossed out that stuff, I cooked lunch for Mom and me.  We ate it.  I then washed her dishes and spent a 20 minutes or so in the basement on another chore before I grabbed my things and returned home.  I washed the dishes here and prepared dinner for Patricia and me.  She got home around 6pm.

We spent the evening watching a couple of tv shows we liked.  You know.  Sunday night stuff.  Sunday night presages Monday morning and a return to work.  Yay.

Newbie is nuzzling up against me and purring in that seductive way of his.  I guess I should turn in.  You don't blame me, do you?  What are you supposed to do when a cat starts coming on to you?

See you tomorrow.
