Hi. I didn't write Thursday night and Friday night because I slept the night away both evenings.
I am at my mother's this weekend. Newbie and I drove up this morning. I had to mow the lawn here. I needed to install a power bar at my mother's. The handy man guy and I had to fix her oscillating fan. She and I had to go shopping. And, of course, I'd need my 3 hour nap.
This time next week I will have commenced my 3 week vacation. I'm thinking about not writing new blog posts during that time. But I don't plan to shut down the blog
Huh? How is that possible?
Glad you asked.
We are close to 2400 posts on this blog. I guarantee that I am the only one who's read every single one of them. I have picked up readers over the years. A few have drifted away, and shame on them. It occurs to me that my newer readers might like to see some of the older posts.
Here's what I propose.
Each day I'm on vacay I'd publish a blog post that links to a vintage post, and I'd provide a bit of new material to put the old post in its proper context.
I've been giving this some thought already. I could point to the main post that tells you why I hate metaphors. Similes are fine in my books, but not metaphors. Ever wonder why? I'll re-present that post.
I can link to a few interviews I perceive as under read.
I can tell you again about the trip to the dentist. Or about the ruffians. Or the giant tongue along the Halifax waterfront. The Karen Begin/Darian O'Toole posts should be seen again. And I certainly plan to show you again the most controversial blog post I've ever done.
This is where you come in.
If there is a blog post you'd like to see again and can't find because there is such a wealth of material here, then let me know what that is. I am willing to consider it for this list, which will consist of about 2 dozen entries.
You can let me know by responding to the tweet that points to this post, by replying to the Facebook links for this post, by posting a comment to this post on Blogger, or by using the official blog email addy: radiointerviews AT bevboysblog DOT COM
Get to work. Let me know what you want to see again. I look forward to your suggestions.
See you tomorrow.
