I am a little disappointed tonight, my friends.
It has been made clear to me that an interview which I have been working hard to transcribe will likely never see the light of day.
I do not blame the person who told me this. The place he works has enacted a sweeping, pervasive and strict policy about so-called "outside work". Our first half of the conversation was recorded before the policy, while the second part was after.
I can't publish the interview here. I can't publish it under an assumed name. I can't publish it at all, at least no time soon.
Sigh.
This does mean, however, I can get to work on the Neil and Chelsea interview, and especially the material I recorded last week for the Ron Roberts interview. He is long since retired. He doesn't much care what he says. Neil and Chelsea work for Newcap, and I have never had a problem with the folks there. Well, with 2 possible exceptions that is.
Had lunch with a friend today. He paid. My wallet thanks you, sir.
The carpenters will not be here again until Saturday. I spent a bit of time this evening reclining on my chair on the front deck and looked forward to doing the same thing on the back deck. I could probably do it now, but the absence of railings makes me a little nervous.
After dinner, we watched 1.5 episodes of "Orange is the New Black". We are on the final episode, but are too tired to watch all of it. Tomorrow.
There is not much else going on. I think I will call it a night.
It's a ... Oh, never mind. Not a funny joke anyway.
See you tomorrow.
