Post 2798 - Wednesday

Well, that is embarrassing. I called Tuesday's post "Monday".  Do I ever feel silly!

Been a busy day. I finished my latest Frank column during my lunch hour and after work and prepared for this week's Toastmasters meeting. Our Vice President of Education resigned suddenly in the last few days, which wasn't a surprise, and I took over those duties in the interim. I think I did quite well, actually, better than the person was the last going off. My shoes may not be as nice as hers, but at least I care enough to put together a good meeting.

The meeting room was chock-a-block. We had to bring in extra chairs. I very much hope that this is the beginning of a healthy new trend for us. By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth! I hope that it is. We need some good luck in our club.

Afterward, I grabbed a quick bite and picked up Patricia at her Pilates class. We drove home. I just got off the phone with my mother, whom I will see next week as we have a few financial transactions to take care of that can only be addressed when I am there with her.

This weekend is the annual Nocturne event in the downtown and in other parts of the city. We went a few years ago, but not since. However, this year, we definitely want to go. Seeing the city come alive with all this interesting art is something that has to be seen to be believed. It is times like that when I really like the city, and not when I have to endure being harassed by panhandlers and stepping over puke and being run into by other pedestrians who are engaged in texting.

It should be a good time.

I have a very early day tomorrow. Guess I'll call it a ... oh, never mind.

See you tomorrow.
