Been sleeping most of the day. When I was awake I was delivering tea and crumpets to Patricia, who remains very ill.
Also when I was awake I made my way through the last few episodes of The DareDevil series on Netflix. My god, what an excellent show. Even if you don't have a clue who the character is, they do a great job of bringing you up to speed.
The character's Catholicism is nearly a character unto itself. There are many, almost too many, scenes of Matt/DD wrestling with his religious impulses, as well as how his being a lawyer affects and informs his life. There are many nods to the comics, more than I probably could ever catch, but the best one for me is in the dying seconds of episode 13. I will not ruin it for you, but I had a big grin on my face.
My only quibble is with the performance of Scott Glenn in episode 7. He plays "Stick" as if his limo were double parked in the back alley and he had 3 tubs of ice cream in the back seat that was about to melt. I don't normally comment on acting choices, but in my opinion Scott Glenn made a lot of bad ones.
There is already talk of season two, two days after the show went live. Let's hope that this decision is a no-brainer.
Anyway, the show kept me up, but I am still feeling like utter crap. I am not as ill as Patriica is, but ill enough. If you don't see a post from me tomorrow, do not worry. It is just little old me trying to get over this.
You guys have a good evening.
