Past 10:30.
I have spent the last hour plus working on one of my Frank columns. I have two deadlines this week. Will try to get one done tomorrow, Wednesday, and the second one done for Thursday morning. As per my new usual, one will be a true crime column (an unsolved Nova Scotia-based murder this time); and the other, a media column. And as is usually the case, the media news trickles in during the two week period I write the thing, with fairly big news items coming in within hours of my deadline.
Anyway, how was your day? I awoke with a migraine this morning. A migraine is not a little person. That is a midget, I will have you know. Be nice. A migraine is a headache, the kind that makes you want to take the claw end of a hammer and try to pry the top of your skull off and remove the headache, as if it were a physical thing. I was prescribed a wonder drug quite a few years ago, and it has saved, if not my life, than my having to take dozens of sick days over the years. I took the pill, went back to sleep until 7:30, got up and went to work, catching every damned red light there was on the way. That wasn't frustrating at all.
After work, we went to Costco and bought.... nothing! Patricia got a prescription filled but we didn't buy anything. I didn't even sneak off for 5 minutes to get one of those all beef hot dogs, laced with as much mustard as the law permits. We got home. I dawdled for a while. And now here I am.
I think I will turn in. It will be a very long day tomorrow.
See you then, my lovelies.
