Post 3327 - It's Here

Vacation is here!! Woohoo!!

We are off... work ... until August 8th, a full two and a half weeks from now. Of course, we all know that vacation time goes into a special form of hyper drive, so that time off work will fly by. But I will enjoy it while I am on it.

I will likely produce blog posts during vacation. I will write some in advance. When I can, I will go to the library in River John or wherever and produce a blog post or two there. And I will also produce a media column whilst I am off.

Just this morning a source wrote to ask me if I had heard of .... and he gave me the name of a man who had perished at his own hand, quite some years ago. However, there is some possibility that he did not, that he was murdered. Just 12 hours later, some sources have contacted me and given me some information to start working with. This may be somewhat of a working vacation, because this case fascinates me.

Still loading up an external hard drive with movies and tv shows. Something causes the drive to go into a sleep mode after a few hours, and that in turn hangs the computer. That is not frustrating at all. No. Not in the slightest. Nope. Not at all.

After work this evening, we grabbed a quick bit at Pizza Delight in Bayer's Lake. I eat there once or twice a year just to remind myself why I don't like it there very much. Too much salt. Too much dough. Not enough toppings on the pizzas. Not a delight.

After that, we went to see "Nerve", an upcoming thriller starring Dave Franco and Emma Roberts. Even though the movie was not exactly aimed at our demographic, we enjoyed the movie much, much more than we thought we ever would. Intriguing concept. Innovative camera angles. Some in-jokes. Snappy dialogue. It was a good Summer popcorn movie. And somehow, this sneak preview was ahead even of the sneak that takes place at the San Diego Comic-Con over the coming days. Who needs to go to San Diego? Stay in Nova Scotia, where all the action is at.

I have been up late every night this week and feel a little punchy. I think I will turn in.

See you tomorrow, my lovelies.
