Post 3996 - Wednesday Night Stuff

Well, hello there.

Another day is behind me. The highlight was buying a used lawn mower from a local guy. The one I had was making an awful noise before it deigned to start last year. I fear it will not run at all this year, so when I saw this one on FB Marketplace, I could not resist.

I had already owned another one of those Yardworks lawnmowers, but sold it to my neighbours a few years ago. I had bought it for the Valley house when the lawn tractor failed around 10 years ago and I didn't want to spend a pile of money fixing it. Got the Yardworks for cheap and already had a long power cord to use with it.

Anyway, I had a couple of lawn mowers a couple of years ago so I sold them the Yardworks, the extra cord, and a beat up whipper snipper thingy. Then, the lawn mower I had stopped working a year or so later, so I got the one I got in 2019 or whatever it was. That is the one that I will be replacing this year with the one I bought today, which is the same model of the one I sold to my neighbours in 2018. I realize this is hard to follow, but I assure that it is not worth following, so don't worry about it.

Anyway, the fellow I bought the Yardworks from today let me mow a small portion of his lawn to prove that it worked. It came with the little lawn bag that I will never use, and don't quite understand the point of having, but it was included so I took it.

We went to Bayer's Lake on the way home. Patricia got mulch and some lime. I got some delicious Alpine beer, noting with disappointment that they no longer sell 12 packs of cans, just six packs, plus 12 packs of bottles of that wonderful nectar.

We returned home and have been here since. Other than a few provisions, we do not plan to go anywhere or do anything until our first vaccine shot on Monday. There is enough risk out there that we don't want to take a chance, especially since the school by us has had a probable covid-19 exposure. We are where we need to be.

Newbie is nestling up to me. He wants me to wrap this up, so I will. You all have a good evening, and I will yak at you tomorrow.
